Introduction
Welcome to Headline Help. We help content creators write headlines that win clicks, open emails, and stop scrolls cold.
We are Headline Help, a sole proprietorship owned solely by Pete McPherson, located at P.O. Box 266, McBain, MI 49657, USA.

Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Headline Help, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our app.
Modification of Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of Headline Help after such changes will constitute your acceptance of the new Terms.
Account Registration and Use
Headline Help offers a free plan with limited analyses per month and a paid Pro plan with unlimited analyses. We use Google Authentication for login, so we do not have access to your password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under your account.
User-Generated Content
All content you create or upload—including headlines you submit for analysis—remains your property. Headline Help does not claim ownership of any user-generated content. By using the app, you grant us a license to host, store, and use such content to provide and improve our services. User data is stored securely (e.g., in Firestore) and treated as private and confidential in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Purchases and Payment
For any purchases made within Headline Help (e.g., Pro subscription), you agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information. You agree to promptly update your account and payment details, including email address, payment method, and payment card expiration date. Applicable sales tax will be added as required. Prices are subject to change without notice. All payments must be made in U.S. dollars.
You authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for purchases and any applicable fees. For recurring subscriptions (e.g., monthly or annual Pro), you consent to our charging your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, even after payment has been requested or received.
We reserve the right to refuse any order. Orders may be limited or cancelled at our discretion, including orders that appear to be from dealers, resellers, or distributors.
Refunds and Cancellation
We do not offer refunds. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period; no further charges will be made.
Prohibited Activities
While using Headline Help, you must not:
- Create or share content that is illegal, immoral, or unethical
- Defame, harass, or threaten others
- Use the app to spread malware or engage in phishing
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or data
- Violate the intellectual property rights of others
- Use the app for any unauthorized commercial activities (e.g., reselling or redistributing the service)
This list is not exhaustive. Headline Help reserves the right to determine what constitutes inappropriate use and to take action, including terminating accounts.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Michigan, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
Third-Party Websites and Content
Headline Help may feature links to external websites (“Third-Party Websites”) and include or offer access to content created by third parties (“Third-Party Content”). We do not conduct in-depth reviews or verification of Third-Party Websites or Third-Party Content for accuracy, relevance, or completeness. Headline Help is not liable for any Third-Party Websites accessed via our platform or any Third-Party Content made available through it, including their content, accuracy, opinions, reliability, privacy practices, or other policies.
If you leave Headline Help to visit Third-Party Websites or use Third-Party Content, you do so at your own risk, and our Terms cease to apply. We advise you to review the terms and privacy practices of any third party. Headline Help is not responsible for transactions with third parties and does not endorse their products or services. You agree to hold Headline Help harmless from any damages or losses resulting from your use of Third-Party Content or interaction with Third-Party Websites.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Headline Help, its affiliates, or its owners be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of or inability to use the service. We are not responsible for any damage, loss, or injury resulting from hacking, tampering, or other unauthorized access or use of the service or your account.
Headline Help assumes no liability for: (i) errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content; (ii) personal injury or property damage resulting from your access to or use of our service; (iii) unauthorized access to our servers or personal information; (iv) interruption or cessation of transmission; (v) bugs, viruses, or similar transmitted by third parties; or (vi) loss or damage from use of any content made available through the service. These limitations apply whether based on warranty, contract, statute, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, and even if we have been informed of the possibility of such damage.
The service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. No advice or information from Headline Help will create any warranty not expressly stated herein.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Headline Help and its owner from and against any loss, damage, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of: (1) your use of Headline Help; (2) your breach of these Terms; (3) any breach of your representations and warranties; (4) your violation of the rights of a third party, including intellectual property rights; or (5) any harmful act toward any other user. We reserve the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter for which you must indemnify us, and you agree to cooperate with our defense. We will endeavor to notify you of any such claim upon becoming aware of it.
User Data
Headline Help maintains data that you transmit to the platform for the purpose of managing and improving the service, as well as data relating to your use of the platform. While we perform routine backups where applicable, you are solely responsible for all data you transmit or that relates to your activity on Headline Help. You agree that Headline Help shall have no liability to you for any loss or corruption of such data, and you waive any right of action against us arising from such loss or corruption.

Headline Help, owned and operated by Pete McPherson, is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, including any related media channel or mobile website (collectively, the “Site”).
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information when you use our services:
- Email address for account creation and communication. We may store a hashed version of your email for analytics and internal purposes, without storing the plain text email for these uses.
- Payment information via Stripe for subscription services. We do not directly store your full payment card details.
- Content you create, such as headlines you submit for analysis, stored securely in a Firebase/Firestore database.
- Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies for essential functions like user authentication. We do not collect, store, or use IP addresses or device fingerprints.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site (e.g., page views, general usage patterns). Google Analytics may set its own cookies and collect data in accordance with its privacy policy; we do not use it to identify individual users.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above, along with Google Analytics data (aggregated and not used to identify you personally), to improve the user experience, analyze site performance, and develop new features. Other uses include:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our website and services
- Improve, personalize, and expand our website and services, using aggregated and anonymized analytics
- Understand and analyze how you use our website and services, using usage data that does not directly identify you
- Develop new products, services, features, and functionality
- Communicate with you (using your provided email address) for customer service, updates, and other information relating to the website, and for marketing and promotional purposes if you opt in
- Send you emails related to your account and our services
4. Consent
Consent to collect and process your personal information is obtained through a checkbox on the Stripe checkout page (for paid subscriptions) and through your use of the Site when creating an account or submitting content.
5. Third-Party Services
We do not share your personal information with third parties for their marketing. The Site uses third-party services including: Stripe for payment processing; Google Firebase for authentication (including Google sign-in) and database services; and Google Analytics for site usage analytics. These providers process data in accordance with their own privacy policies and our instructions where applicable.

You have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Request correction of your personal information
- Request deletion of your personal information

7. Data Protection
We are dedicated to protecting your personal information and have implemented physical and electronic security measures. This includes the use of Google Firebase for secure authentication and data storage.
